GreyNet Associate Membership (ASSOC-2010)
The Grey Literature Network Service was founded in 1992 and was born out of the International Conference Series on Grey Literature. Since its relaunch in 2003 under the auspices of TextRelease, GreyNet moved from a subscription base to a membership base. GreyNet’s main activity lies in the “Corporate Authorship” of electronic and print publications as well as web resources. GreyNet is conscious of the fact that these valuable resources are made possible through the intellectual and financial contributions of leading organisations in the field of grey literature. These organisations fulfil a role that is beyond sponsorship, because they are pari passu responsible for the further development of GreyNet’s content base, which includes:
• GreyNet's Collections in the OpenSIGLE Repository • GreySource Index, A Selection of web-based resources in Grey Literature •GreyText Archive, E-documents in the Field of Grey Literature • GreyNet Newsletter • GL Conference Proceedings •GL Conference Programs •The Grey Journal (TGJ), An International Journal on Grey Literature • WHOIS in the Field of Grey Literature • Grey Literature Courseware The Grey Literature Network Service, the International Conference Series on Grey Literature, The Grey Journal, and the annual GreyNet Award for Outstanding Achievement in the field of grey literature are for many information professionals a guarantee of continuity and distinction in the field of grey literature. In order to maintain these standards, GreyNet sees fitting to extend the status of 'Corporate Author' to its Associate Members.
Likewise, Associate Members receive the additional benefits bestowed on conference sponsors. GreyNet actively invites organizations involved in the field of grey literature to consider GreyNet Associate Membership starting in 2010.
